Poplar wood
"Pig on the wings" belongs to a breed of little anthropomorphic wood objects that like to infest homes.
It is both a stool and an end table.
"Pig on wings" has a very simple design, the inspiration for its shape can be found in the "traccia table" by Meret Oppenheim, a masterpiece we respect very much.
The challenge facing this project was to reduce manufacturing processes; to build an evocative and high quality item using few simple making steps.
This stool is assembled without using any screws or glue; all parts are wedged with each other.
"..And any fool knows a dog needs a home,
A shelter from pigs on the wing."
